About Us

This march is hosted by Georgia State University’s Sustainable Energy Tribe and supported by a diverse organizing committee of representatives from environmental organizations, universities, faith-based organizations and more from around Atlanta and Georgia.

Sustainable Energy Tribe at Georgia State University is the largest student environmental group on GSU campus. They focus on educating the student body and local K-12 schools on environmental issues, clean renewable energy and energy conservation, recycling, urban gardening, working with the university to become more sustainable, and getting students to experience the outdoors. Learn more here.

The Emory Graduate Sustainability Group is a student-run organization committed to engagement with social and environmental sustainability issues on and off the Emory University campus.

Sierra Club – The Georgia Chapter’s members and supporters are more than 45,000 of your friends and neighbors. Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet. We’re America’s oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization.

You’ll find us where Georgians are fighting for clean air, clean water, and protecting special places. Over the years, we’ve protected Cumberland Island as Wilderness, established the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area, elected Congressman John Lewis, stopped mining in the Okefenokee Swamp, prevented three new coal-fired power plants from being built, and brought MARTA to Clayton County.

We lead fun outings such as hikes, paddles, bike trips and more. Join in and help us protect our Georgia from the foothills of the Appalachians all the way to the coast!

Center for Sustainable Communities is a non profit that provides communities, neighborhoods, cities and counties with the tools and systems that support programs and projects to promote clean energy and make our planet more environmentally sustainable. We provide technical assistance to communities and neighborhoods through program and project management; technical assistance; planning; research and analysis; education and safety; climate resiliency; economic development; education.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change, such as our Carbon Fee and Dividend proposal. With 304 active chapters and 8 here in Georgia, members lobby our federally elected representatives to support meaningful climate legislation.
